Export GA reports into Google docs with just one click

Reading the Blog Spanish Gringo (great name) from Micheal Freeman I fount a very interesting tip for Google Analytics. With your current Google Analytics version if you want to export a report to Excel you have to click on “export –> CSV”. If you do so, you will probably face a problem trying to import the CSV to Excel (you can, but it looks weird). So Micheal got the answer on “Greasemonkey” and now you can export your report into a spreadsheet directly to Google Docs with just one click. Sounds great uh, I guess it is. Installation 1- Install

GAAC training in Buenos Aires

Yesterday (thursday 5th of June) was the first GAAC (Google Analytics Authorized Consultant) training in Buenos Aires. The event was planned by the untiring Enrique Quevedo. Enrique, who was also the speaker, has the non-minor task of developing the product through the Latam Region. The training lasted two days, the first day was focused on Business while the second was 100% technical. The training went from general to specific topics, and was both technical and pragmatic making very simple to incorporate pretty difficult concepts. Congratulations Enrique, Great initiative!!! Enrique is at my right (I’m with the unforgettable “tag my ass”

From ignorance to full control in only 6 steps

I am still laughing after writing this title, mainly because I don’t believe in “gurus” and their magic formulas. This post aims to give some tips that although they are generic and should always be contextualized, with these precautions can be very useful, indeed they are for me. What do I mean with “from ignorance to full control in only 7 steps”?. I’m talking about the process that begins with a non-measured website to (and as Robert Kaplan said, if you can’t measure it you can’t manage it) and finishes with a full set of indicators that allows you to

Yahoo! Indextools represent the end of paid solutions?

Some posts ago, I wrote a post called “Since Gatineau nothing will ever be the same” because Gatineau was the first competitor, a real one, that Google Analytics has as the top free Player. I was sure that the competition among free tools would be the base of a new age in analytics, the age where the most flexible and powerful tools reduce their price and become “smarter”. Now Yahoo! accelerated the process, because a Flexible and smart tool as Indextools is going to be provided free of charge. So we don’t have two Analytics tools markets, but just one…for free. The economy

Since Indextools for Free nothing will ever be the same

Remember “Since Gatineau nothing will ever be the same“? Well, apparently I was correct but probably failed in one thing…”time”. I thought the market would adjust gradually, free tools get smarter, paid tools should also get smarter and cheaper. I always said that, in my opinion, paid Web Analytics tools could be cheaper, actually must be cheaper, so I was looking at the above mentioned dynamic as something really positive. The Indextools acquisition by Yahoo! is not another acquisition, it is a milestone in the Web Analytics market, actually this acquisition is already Shaking the market in front of the

White Paper III – Social Networks in Latin America

The Social Networks in Latin America (Download PFD) The global phenomenon of social networks is landing in Latin America. Techcrunch recently published an article about Sonico describing it as the largest and most unknown social network in the region. Social networks are the foundation of the Web 2.0 – would be the equivalent of the traditional Web portals – and consist of sites where users can create a profile and contact other people. These users produce content that can be shared with other members within the network. However, so far it has not been dimensioned clearly the impact that social networks are taking among Internet users in the

Analyze your video performance with YouTube Insights

Finally YouTube has launched a suit of Analytics tools that help users analyze the performance of their videos. Even when YouTube already offers comments, ratings and a ranking for each clip this new tool Analytics Suit called “YouTube Insight” adds context about location and time when the users what each specific video. Since youtube became a new advertising channel I was really waiting for this service, unfortunately it is pretty basic and if I’m not wrong it has no API. Anyways it is definitely better than nothing and a great start  . Visit the Youtube Blog for more information
