Meta Analytics

When we talk about Analytics people generally think about tags, code implementation and some metrics (or KPIs) based on what a tool can report. Analytics is usually related to something technical that only a group of geeks can handle.

Understanding how the different tools work is very important, both to be able to make implementations that make sense for the project that we are doing and to be able to understand what we are analyzing. However that is only a small part of what Analytics is, the most valuable thing is the ability of an analyst to take that information and generate insights that drives the decision makers to bring their company closer to its business objectives.

Having a brilliant implementation is useless without a good analyst who generates insights, so the technical side of Analytics is only useful if it helps companies make efficient decisions.
